Urethrotome is a surgical instrument used to perform blind internal Otis urethrotomy to treat long-segment strictures and lower urethral narrowing of male and female urethras. The main parts of the urethrotome are dilating bulbs and surgical blades that are inserted transurethral to cut the strictures at 12 0 clock position to relieve urethral obstruction and dilate narrow proximal urinary tracts.

It is also used to dilate the urethra before insertion of rectoscopes to prevent ischemic damage.  Our urethrotomes are available with different dilator tips such as the popular Otis urethrotome which consists of three dilator tips in a variety of diameters to achieve optimal urethral dilation and two premium surgical blades for cutting strictures.
