Umbilical Cord Clamps

Umbilical cord clamps are specialized obstetric instruments employed to replace the ligature used to tie the umbilical cord of the fetus and clamp it during cesarean sections or after operational or spontaneous vaginal delivery. The clamp comprises of 8.5 cm blades that are hinged at one end and have a lock at the other to secure the umbilical cord in between.

The blades are serrated on the inner edge to minimize risks of slipping. The umbilical cord clamp is applied once the cord is clamped and ligated. Our range includes the simplified Collins umbilical cord clamp that serves tocompress and secure the umbilical cord between its serrated blades after delivery of the baby. We also have the Kane umbilical cord clamp that is specially designed to have finger rings for correct placement and to restrict displacement of the cord clamp.
