The Shaaf Splinter Forcep offers a wide assortment of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to provide an atraumatic way to remove splinters and foreign objects from wounds and cavities.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of narrowed tips that help to traverse small passages and spaces with ease. In addition, the curved profile of the device permits to reach foreign bodies from different angles. Also, the inner surfaces of the tips have long, vertical grooves that prevent slippage.
