The surgeon inserts the instrument through the rectum gently pulling the walls apart to reposition and visualize the prostrate during partial and radical prostatectomy. It is also used to visualize the walls of the rectum for the presence of hemorrhoids or rectal cancers. Our prostatic retractors range from single blade to dual blade instruments, such as the Young’s prostatic retractor which is available as a single blade to visualize a prostate or as a double blade with a central fenestration, for more complicated prostatectomy procedures to optimally secure the prostate. All of or prostate retractors are crafted with exemplary workmanship while maintaining strict quality control criteria.
