The forceps have a locking mechanism to hold the placenta or retained products of conception. Our placenta and ovary forceps are employed for different purposes such as the Winter Placenta and ovum forceps, which are commonly used to remove the placenta after childbirth. It is available in 14mm or 8 mm widths and curved or straight versions to fit each patient’s needs. Another widely used placental forceps is the Saenger placenta forceps, which is specially designed to assist the placental delivery after vaginal childbirth. Its 12-inch fenestrated and serrated tips are also used to conveniently remove the retained products of conception through the vagina during dilatation and evacuation.

The curved tips serve to minimize soft tissue trauma, cervical and vaginal tears.
