The Kantrowitz Dissecting and Ligature Forcep offers a broad range of surgical advantages. Its principal use is to permit adequate haemostasis during a variety of surgical procedures.
For this purpose, the instrument features a pair of right-angled jaws that help to reach structures unavailable to the naked eye. In addition, the partially-serrated pattern of the jaws ensures atraumatic tissue manipulation.
Moreover, the Kantrowitz Dissecting and Ligature Forcep features a ratchet system between the shafts. Surgeons are able to self-lock the device at different pressure levels using the ratchet. Additionally, the boxlock joint is ideal to close the jaws with smooth movements that enhance surgical comfort.
