Foreign body forceps

Foreign body forceps are surgical instruments that are used to remove foreign bodies from ducts or body cavities such as during transurethral foreign body removal, endoscopic foreign body removal, exploratory laparotomy and foreign body removal per rectum. The main parts of the foreign body forceps consist of a pair of sharp serrated jaws that can be manipulated to open and close to grasp and retrieve the foreign body.

The serrated edges and central fenestration of the tool allows better grip of the foreign body while the long length of the instrument is ideal for venturing through narrow ducts and cavities to secure and remove the foreign body. Our foreign body forceps are available in different patterns including the widely used Mathieu foreign body forceps which has a narrow body and small crocodile tips at the end for easy removal of foreign bodies transurethral.
