Surtex Instruments provides both variants, starting by the Sachs Dura Elevator, which features a slightly curved long blade provided with blunted edges to ensure the dural tissue detachment process won’t jeopardize the local irrigation. During certain neurosurgical procedures, the neurosurgeon needs an optimal view of the surgical site; for these particular cases, the Horsley Dura Elevator is featured with a 40º angled blade, which permits an efficient handling while remaining outside the operating field view. Surtex Instruments has a focus on quality instruments and following this principle, all our dura elevators are crafted using the finest stainless steel to assure a lifetime instrument at your disposal.
