Catheter Clamp

The catheter clamp is a surgical instrument specifically designed to occlude the vena cava during cardiothoracic surgical procedures. Surtex Instruments manufactures the Cooley Catheter Clamp, a curved shaped device consisting of ringed handles, a long ratcheting lock mechanism which allows the surgeon to control a pressure-adapted release of blood flow through the required vessel, and jaws especially featured with semicircular convex projections which when brought together form a hollow circle, enabling the surgeon to atraumatically embrace and clamp the vena cava.
